I kinda feel like summer. And it feels good.

That is an awesome group photo of all the Blythes.
Thanks Cathy! I never thought I'd be able to see SO many Blythes together all at once. There were some pretty rare ones in the mix, too. In the middle row, fourth from the left, is a 1972 Kenner. O_O Crazy!
That's awesome. Hey, I have a friend that goes to yard sales and flea markets and he found two boxed Kenners from the 70's for sale for $15. He turned quite a profit on ebay. I found this out after I told him to look out for me a Blythe and he said..."Well....". Anyway, those people had no idea the value of the dolls!
Ugh, I'm so jealous! It's crazy how people can find Kenners at yard sales for so cheap. If I were him, I would have kept one for myself! Haha. Good for him for knowing that Kenners are worth so much. *is envious*
Yes, he makes it a point to know since he makes his living selling vintage toys on ebay. What a job!
Some times it sounds like you need to find a person or persons in your area to help with a bit of your photo and paint it is always harder by yourself to go out even shooting photos because you can run into the same old shots and almost into a rut, But love your Alice necklace and that clasp just makes it! Maybe you should look into making Jewelry you have a good eye for finishing off a peace!
But like everyone it is hard to arrange your time to accomplish things while waiting for job hunting opportunity to come along, I wish you find your grove when working on yourself some times it is the hardest thing to do is to push yourself and to fill ones day with work when it is so easy to just plop down in front of a TV or a Computer! Keep trying a bit of everything you never know what it might lead too! ALSO love your new photos
Thanks, Jamie! I'm glad you like my new photos. I've been having a lot of fun trying new techniques out. I feel like my more recent work is crisper.

I was really happy with how the Alice necklace turned out. I'd love to try my hand at making jewelry someday... I'd like to do something unique and create my own beads and pendants. I'll have to do some research on that.

I'll definitely keep trying new things. Just getting out and meeting new people has made my life seem so much more fulfilled. Knowing that I have as much time as I want to explore is exciting. ^___^
[this is good]
it's good to feel good and i'm glad to hear that you are feeling good!
^_^

and i'm loving the new photos, don't ever stop! (not that you would :D)
Haha, I never will stop! Taking photos has become such a huge part of my life; I think a lot part of myself would disappear if I stopped. =p Tee hee.

And yeah, it's nice to feel so happy... Then again, it's not difficult when there's such pretty and sunny weather. ^___^
You should find out from your mom the name of that book or the author. I'm very interested! :)

I love your Alice necklace :)
I'll make sure to ask my mom the name of the book. ^__^ I know she still has it nearby, too, because I used to see it on her nightstand all the time.

And thankies! The Alice necklace is a lot of fun to wear; it feels so personal because I was able to put it together myself. <3
oh wow, i LOVE rotofugi. i lived a few hours away but never got the opportunity to actually go. i saw some of jeremiah ketner's work on their site and i'm totally jealous of your munny (i'm in love with the mad*l's that were on rotofugi.)

did you pick up any of the tara mcpherson blind boxes?

i'm glad you had such an amazing time in chicago!
I hope you get to go to Rotofugi someday soon. It's a small shop but I could spend hours there, looking at all the cute little toys on all the shelves. xD I've been to a couple of their galleries now and the work that's displayed is always amazing.

I picked up a couple Tara McPherson vinyl blind boxes! I was happy with the ones I got, but I have to admit that I want more, more, more. I'll have to take a trip to Moda3 soon to fulfill this craving, haha.

And thank you! My Munny by Jeremiah Ketner is my favorite vinyl piece out of my entire collection. She' so pretty... and so detailed.
Whoah! That's alot of Blythes!! Doesn't each blythe cost like an average of at least $100?!? Love your dolls btw!!
It was so cool to see that many Blythes together in person. =D

And yes, most Blythes range somewhere between $100 and $3000. Plum (my Kozy in the bottom row, fourth from the left) is worth about $700-800. The 1972 Kenner (middle row, fourth from the left) is probably worth $1500-2000. She belonged to a new friend I met at the meet. The hobby is very expensive, but all of the dollies are SO worth it. ^___^ I was glad nothing bad happened to any of the dolls while we were out, especially since it was a windy day outside, tee hee.
Glad you finally got to meet some other Blythe enthusiasts, and their dolls. The picture of all the dolls together is great, as are all your photos, love the Alice pendant, especially the heart.

Thank you, meeting all the Blythe collectors was an experience I'll always treasure. Hopefully more meets will be planned in the future.

And yes, the hearts (both the clasp and the back piece) are some of my favorite parts of the Alice necklace. It's like they were all meant to be together-- perfect fits.
got to love it when things fit together like that
[this is good]
