I'm staying at the house for a few days because Shawn said he'd be busy working on some projects for work over the weekend. I thought it might be nice to spend some time with Mom. Whenever I wake up in the morning, there's this awesome nostalgic feeling of summer. It brings back good memories and makes everything seem simple and happy.

Even when I'm at my apartment, alone during the day, I've been experiencing sudden bursts of happiness. It's so weird! I've been trying to limit my time on the computer and watching TV, because I really want to start doing something more for myself lately. I've been feeling the need to enhance everything that I love doing, meaning that I'm focusing more on painting, photography, and spending time with my furries (kitties + hammy). Doing so has led me to some relaxing, more peaceful, days. I'm not really feeling that stress of needing to find work, which is such a relief now. I figured that I need to work on getting in the right mindset before I jump into the next phase of my life; after all, for the past 20+ years I've been in school working hard. It's time to let loose.
In photography aspects, I've been trying to work more on getting to know my camera better. I found that, after a while, I fell into such a routine with my camera that I didn't really explore all of the fun settings. I think my little experimentations have led to better, clearer photos, like the one above. (Yays!)
Also, on the photography home front, I've been trying to expand my photo subjects. I fell into a rut with that when I only took photos of Plum and a few other toys/dolls. I'm trying to appreciate everything else that I'm surrounded by, including other Blythes (like Utopia and Nami above!) and other little finds that I've been taking in.

This Alice necklace is one of my favorite recent finds to photograph. ^__^ Last weekend, I went on a little trip to Chicago with Shawn, Jeremy, and Kathleen. We went to one of my favorite urban toy stores, Rotofugi, and I picked up a lot of cute vinyls and a special art book signed by a favorite artist of mine. Then the three of us met up with another favorite artist of mine, Jeremiah Ketner, after Rotofugi-- we visited his studio (where I saw all of the amazing pieces he's currently working on) and went out to lunch with him.
Afterwards, Jeremiah suggested a bunch of cute stores that he knew I'd love to explore. In one of the little boutiques, I discovered the Alice pendant. I'm obsessed with everything and anything Alice in Wonderland, so I snatched it up. Later on, I went across the street where I had a chain made and fitted for me. I think the heart clasp (bottom right picture) is one of my favorite parts. Putting the necklace together was so much fun!
On an earlier trip to Chicago (April 10th), I was able to attend my very first Blythe meet. After six or so years of collecting them, I thought it was about time that I finally met more people who share the same hobby. ^^

We met up at a cute sushi bar (with really good fruit smoothies) and talked about Blythes the whole time. Because of other plans Shawn and I had in Chicago that day, I was only able to bring Plum (bottom row, fourth from the left). She was able to meet another Kozy Blythe, finally! Overall, the turnout was great and I was even able to meet Gina Garan, a very well known Blythe collector. In fact, it's because of Gina that Blythes exist today! It was such an honor to talk about Blythes, and tons of other stuff, with her.
So really, my "work" right now consists of working on myself and my life. I'm expanding every type of personal horizon possible, including my physical self. ^___^ I've been working hard at exercising daily so that I stay in shape. I'm feeling fit in every aspect possible!
After I wrap up this post, I'll continue to sit back in my parents' kitchen where the back door leading to the deck is open. The summer breeze is blowing in while I sip on my cinnamon white chocolate latte. Life is good.

In order to muster up some money for a much-wanted dolly, I have decided to part with several personal items. I thought it would be fun to throw together a mock flea market, which is most likely a first for Vox. I'd love to know that the presence of my future dolly was made possible because of you lovely Voxers. I'm excited to start this, and if you have any questions, don't hestitate to ask.
Welcome to Kawaii at Vox's first Flea Market Sale, my second event here at Vox. ^___^ I'd like to welcome you to my store by showing you around. So please, feel free to browse, and make sure to ask any questions that arise. I'd be happy to answer anything you're wondering about! You'll most likely want to read through all the details if you are interested in a particular item, because that will clear up any confusion that make come up later on. I shall walk you through each section that I have arranged (with careful consideration and organization) so you can sit back and enjoy the products I have available. Thankies for reading/looking and have a good time. ^^
(Please make sure to do two things if you're interested in something you see: 1) leave a comment, and 2) email me and give me the name of what you would like to purchase.)

Fifth Booth: Vintage Rings (Miscellaneous Assortment)
Up for sale is a miscellaneous assortment of beautiful vintage rings that I have collected over the years. Before you receive one (or more) in the mail, the ring will be polished. Please make sure to note that any shine that is lost is due to old age, a factor that only makes each ring more stunning with its vintage and antique appeal. Keep in mind that this jewelry is vintage and can be considered costume jewelry, therefore, the status of every stone and metal may not be known. Also, please do not expect perfect condition, as if they were brand new. Part of the charm and appeal is the time-worn look. ^___^ This booth will be divided up into two sets. Please pay close attention to the details of each ring. More pictures of each ring in larger dimensions can be seen over my my Flickr account, which is located here.
Every ring is between a size four and five (unless otherwise noted).

- Sterling silver marcasite ring: Marcasites surround almost the entire ring, except for the back, which slowly fades into a smooth band of silver. The ring is marked 925 on the inside, which means that it is authentic sterling silver. (Price: $10.00 USD ON HOLD)
- Fashion turquoise ring: Two tear-shaped pieces wrap around to make the front of the ring. Whether this ring contains real turquoise is unknown. This is an unmarked ring so I cannot determine the true metal it is made out of. (Price: $5.00 USD SOLD)
- Mesh metal with fake diamond: This vintage ring wraps around and has an open back, which makes the ring easier to adjust to a few ring sizes. The stone is clear and looks like a diamond, although, the real stone is unknown, as is the metal. (Price: $5.00 USD)
- Silver amethyst-looking ring: This ring has a net-like front that wraps around into a smoother metal in the back. It is marked 925 on the inside, which means that is authentic sterling silver. This ring is size seven. (Price: $12.00 USD)

- Sterling silver with marcasites and clear stone: This ring contains several marcasites that surround the stone on each side in the center of the ring. The stone is not a real diamond, but it appears to be a clear stone that looks like one. The inside of the ring is marked with 925, which means that it is made of authentic sterling silver. (Price: $12.00 USD SOLD)
- Sterling silver with purple heart: This simple ring is made of sterling silver. It is marked with 925 on the inside of the ring, which means that it is authentic. The purple crystal looks like an amethyst, but the actual stone is unknown. This ring is size six. (Price: $8.00 USD ON HOLD)
- Fashion ring-- pearl with gold setting: The status of the "stone" is unknown, although it looks like a pearl that is surrounded by one diamond-looking stone on each side. The metal is a darker yellow, which gives it a gold appearance. The code 10KP is on the inside. (Price: $5.00 USD)
- Oblong blue/purple stone sterling silver ring: This ring is made of authentic sterling silver; it is marked 925 on the inside of the ring. The stone, although labeled as being unknown, looks as though it could be jade. (Price: $10.00 USD)
Sixth Booth: Diamond Heart Bracelets (Four Colors)

Up for sale is an Effy Collection special. Effy is a very well-known jewelry designer. My mom originally bought the last of these bracelets (in bulk, so there is more than one bracelet per color available). My mom only buys the best of the best of jewelry, so only expect beautiful diamonds with a lovely setting. These were originally priced at $149.98 per bracelet, but a special price will be offered here. They are all brand new and have only been removed from their boxes for photos. They will come with a box and their original Effy cards. There are four colors for sale (from left to right in the pictures): purple/lavender, pink, sky blue, and red. Here is the original description of the bracelets:
"This lavish bracelet is created in 14K white gold and features an open heart design with bead set diamonds measuring 9/16" x 9/16". This is set on a leather bracelet measuring 6-1/2 - 8-1/2"L x 1/2"W that comes in your choice of colors with an adjustable clasp and safety catch. There are eleven diamonds for a total diamond weight of approximately 0.055ct."
More photos of each bracelet at different angles (in larger dimensions) can be seen over at my Flickr account, which is located here.
Price (per bracelet): $40.00 USD
Seventh Booth: Photography Prints by Kawaii at Vox

My Flickr account is located here. I do have the right to reject certain photos, mostly ones that contain my own image or any image of people in my life. I would prefer it if you would request any photos that contain inanimate objects. ^^; (I am also open to photos you may have seen in my Vox account, but I'll have to approve each photo first.) Make sure to email me the size of the photo you wish to have. If you would like, I can also determine the best size possible since I'm familiar with how my photography appears on paper. You may choose whether you would like glossy or matte prints!
Please take into account that each photo required quality photo paper, ink, time and effort.
Price (per photo): $5.00 USD
